I was born and raised in Birmingham, Alabama and currently still living here.  I graduated from the University of Alabama at Birmingham with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Graphic Design & Photography and a minor in Art History. I work as a Graphic Designer for the College of Arts and Sciences at UAB. As well as working on many other freelance projects.

EXPERIENCE

 Graphic Designer for the College of Arts & Sciences at University of Alabama at Birmingham

  • Member of a three-person Communications Team in the College of Arts and Sciences overseeing creative and design for 19 departments and the Dean's Office.

  • Provides creative direction and coordinates the development and publication for all internal and external print pieces for faculty and student recruitment

  • Serves as Art Director for the annual Arts and Sciences Magazine – 56-page magazine highlighting the work of faculty and students in the College of Arts and Sciences

  • Responsible for maintaining brand awareness and consistency across all platforms working with multiple contacts and projects

  • Collaborate and strategizes with the Advancement Team to create donor proposals, stewardship impact reports, event collateral and PowerPoints

  • Works closely with digital and creative staff to produce graphics and digital assets for web and social media

  • Provides graphic design for college-wide social media campaigns, leadership presentations, Arts Week, lectureships, event invitations and video projects

  • Manages the College’s creative request queue, intake tasks and develop a clear understanding of the scope and expectations for each project

  • Designed and sold products including posters, cards, stationery, invitations, shirts, mugs, and tiny prints.

Children’s Ministries Department Creative Intern

  • Worked at Asbury UMC in the Children’s Ministries department helping with creative directions for all special event planning.
